Antarctic Krill Oil (Omega 3 from Phospholipids)

Antarctic Krill Oil - Omega 3 fatty acids from the phospholipid structure (shrimp oil).

► Omega-3 fatty acids from phospholipids are superior to triglycerides (fish oil) due to bio-availability and higher bioefficiency
► A much lower concentration of phospholipids than triglycerides is necessary to achieve an equal bio-availability in cells and organs
► Smaller amounts of EPA and DHA in Krill Oil capsules (smaller capsules - swallow lighter) than fish oil for the same result
► Krill oil is neutral as a taste, water dispersible and gastric juice and does not favor regurgitation, a phenomenon very common with fish oil

Omega 3 fatty acids from krill oil VS. other sources of Omega 3 fatty acids

The main sources of Omega 3 fatty acids are fish oil, which contains Omega-3 from the triglyceride structure and krill oil, which contains Omega 3 from the phospholipid structure.

Krill oil has two extraordinary advantages compared to fish oil:
1. Omega 3 fatty acids from the phospholipid structure.
2. Natural carotenoid antioxidant - astaxanthin.

The role of fatty acids in the phospholipid structure is very important, as phospholipids are essential in the formation of cell membranes of our body. In particular, some of the lipids in the cells are in the form of phospholipids.
Dissolve in water and gastric juice, the digestion process unfolded without the help of gallbladder and fully absorb.

Polyunsaturated fatty acids from krill oil have higher bioavailability compared to fish oil. Thus, we result in smaller and easier to swallow capsules than in fish oil.

Another benefit of better dispersion in the case of krill oil capsules in abdominal fluids is the absence of gastroesophageal reflux, which occurs frequently in fish oil.

Fatty acids in triglycerides are the place of energy storage in adipose tissue cells. Do not dissolve in water and gastric juice, the digestion process being the emulsification with the help of bile salts. The triglyceride fatty acids are absorbed from the small intestine.

The source of shrimp oil is a type of shrimp from the Antarctic (Euphausia superba), part of the organisms that form the bioplankton, the largest biomass in the world and is found in the deep and cold waters of this sea. These shrimps feed on bioplankton and contain more nutrients than all other species that are used as food by humans.

Shrimp oil contains a rich source of polyunsaturated fatty acids with long chain and a powerful antioxidant - Astaxanthin.

Omega 3 fatty acids are polyunsaturated fatty acids concentrated in the form of phospholipids, a form that gives them superior efficacy. Omega-3 fatty acids can be swallowed with food because the human body does not produce these acids. Omega 3 fatty acids (eicosapentaenoic acid - EPA and docosahexaenoic acid DHA) contribute to the normal functioning of the heart. The beneficial effect is obtained under the conditions of a daily consumption of 250mg of EPA and DHA.

Astaxanthin, according to many studies and literature, is a powerful antioxidant (stronger than vitamin E and coenzyme Q10) that protects unsaturated fatty acids from free radical action.
